Hooray! The Fall Coffee Cups have FINALLY arrived at my local Starbucks.
Now there are even more reasons to get Pumpkin spiced lattes!! I’ve been seeing them colored and used for cards all over the crafting blogsphere lately. So decided to color one up with Copic markers and up-cycle it into an adorable mini album following Wilna Furstenburg’s iheartstudio instructions using her fab free download for the inside. You can find her step-by-step instructional video and the download HERE.
Here’s the outside cover. I chose to cover the edges with Washi tape to five it a more finished look.
For the inside pages, you’ll notice you can’t see the album pictures on purpose. I covered them with wax paper and photoshopped them where necessary as they’re of friends who I don’t have permission to show plus it’s going to be a surprise gift for them.
My cover is a little bigger than Wilna’s… I used a Grande instead of a Tall cup.
Here you can see where the signatures were bound with Washi tape and then sewn in with twine. It just takes a small awl to punch through.
I’ve never done a digital album before. I like how Wilna’s pages have such soft colors and a nice layered multi-media look to them!
You can just barely see the sparkle of the Wink of Stella that I ran along the vein lines of the fabric leaves on the front cover. This picture shows closer to the true color vs the blue in the top pictures. Cameras! Still can’t do better than the human eye sometimes!!
