MFT Camp Create – Divine Dry Embossing – Sunny Smiles Card

Hello and welcome back to another session from My Favorite Things Camp Create – Divine Dry Embossing.  This one also dovetails nicely with Marker Pop’s Challenge #101: Embossing.

I’m pleased with how this fun summer card turned out. (See also Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge: Summer Fun.)

Love the peridot green in that funky chameleon that I colored based on a picture of a real chameleon. (See Simon Says Stamp’s Work-it-Wednesday July 2016: Peridot)

I really like the depth the dry embossed border gives against the color blended/masked border! Not to mention that thin contrasting border around the card front. (See Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge: Make for the Border) I hope you can see it better here:

That earns me another badge from Camp Create:

MFT Camp Create – Cheshire Cat Spinner Card

Hello! I’m back temporarily as someone loaned me a computer to use while my new hard drive is being installed. Ugh. Technology… it’s great when it works!

I have several cards I made last week to post, so bear with me, if I can figure out how to use this computer and it’s picture editing program, there will be a spate of posts coming.

Day 2 in the crafting tent at My Favorite Things Camp Create summer camp was about Sensational Sliders and we were encouraged to make a card with any type of movement. I chose to do a spinner card with this sweet kitty:

My thought was to have him spin away and leave just a Cheshire Cat smile behind before he blinks out to travel to parts unknown in his dreams.

Unfortunately I chose fishing line thinking it would be less visible (it isn’t) — no matter how much you wind it, it doesn’t spin a lot. Back to twine next time! Here’s a link to a brief video  of it in action that I posted a couple of days ago … Hopefully the link will work (I can’t see it).

So that earns me the second Camp Create badge:

MFT Camp Create – Glitzy Glitter – Amazing Card

Hello dear visitors and followers! Today I’ve started catching up with My Favorite Things Camp Create online summer camp.

Day one in the craft cabin was all about Glitzy Glitter. Virginia’s View also has a color challenge going on…

Putting the two together,  here’s what I came up with:

I love the glitzy, glittery, magical look of the ombre balloons and sentiment. Doesn’t she look like she’s about to travel the world?!  When you get to the inside, you find out she’s just landed —  or is just entering a Dr. Who time vortex in a little blue box (cue music!)!!!
