Another lesson from My Favorite Things Summer School Session 3:

Lesson 14 is on Color Saturation. Here’s what they say about it:
Color Saturation refers to the intensity of color. The more white or gray that is added, the less saturated the color becomes. You can add black to deepen the saturation. Cards tend to work best when the saturation of the colors are on a similar scale.
I’d sum it up as Brights (saturated) vs. Pastels (less saturated), which is how I did my cards:

I used Freshly Made Sketches current sketch for both cards:

Materials Used:
- My Favorite Things Heart Balloons Stamp set & dies (sentiments cut apart and mixed together)
- Heidi Grace Designs Papers: Flocked Urban Acres Blvd Floral & Flocked Baby Boy Birds
- CraftSmith Flutterbloom paper pack
- DCWV cards
- Versamark Ink
- Hampton Arts embossing powders pink and red
- Color Box Classic Pigment Inks
- Papertrey Ink: Hawaiian Shores dye ink
- Misc. Washi tape, ribbon, cardstock and adhesives

I’m also entering each of these cards in Freshly Made Sketches’ 200th Sketch celebration, which you can join here: http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2015/08/freshly-made-sketches-200-celebration.html
- Actually, they only let you link once to a blog post, so I’ll re-post the pastel card later on today.
Thanks for taking the time to peek in!
