Well, we’ve come to the bottom of the cup for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. It’s been good to the last drop! ’twas an amazing week of crafty creativity, surpassing last hop’s entries already with over 520 entries!
It’s also day two of The Daily Marker’s 30 Day Challenge #3 – the challenge to color something every day for a month.
Here is my final card:
Hop sponsor Just Dandy Studio provided the original printable digi, which you can find here: http://melissabickford.blogspot.com/2015/09/fall-coffee-lovers-blog-hop.html Notice that she got them in the right order, for most of us need the coffee before we CAN create! Hahaha!
The printable digi actually looks like this:
But I wanted the colors to be more fall-ish, so I used Corel Paint Shop Pro to change the colors and then printed it on Neenah Astoparche cardstock: Natural.
Then I spritzed it with Tsukineko walnut ink and took a cup and sat it in the ink to ‘stamp’ the coffee stains. I colored the coffee with a Copic marker (E37), covered it with glossy accents for the shine, and added some shading (Copics C1&C3).
I finished by using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L’s E-Z runner to adhere it to a DCWV card.
In addition to the above two hops/challenges, I am also entering this in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-anything-goes-21/
And that finishes the hop for me, unless I get real ambitious this afternoon and have a second cup of coffee. lol! Unfortunately, I have to get back to all the things I’ve let slide while having fun creating this past week! I hope you’ve enjoyed the cards I made for this hop. Thanks again for all your kind comments! Please stop by from time to time to see what’s perkin’ – or, better still, subscribe so as not to miss anything! : )
