Dreamerland Wondering How You Are Doing Kitty Card

Hello again, sweet kitty loving peeps! (and everyone else, which is probably about 1% of you. lol!)

The Cat Lovers Hop continues and, of course, I have yet another kitty card!

Isn’t she just the sweetest? So, is Kitty wondering how the girl is doing or is she writing to someone wondering how they are doing?

One small detail: To give our gal some depth, after stamping and diecutting, I popped just her head up with a foam dot. The girl got folded at the knees and just her feet and head got foam dots. Also, the first pile of stamped books I fussy cut so they’d appear farther back than the diecut pile with the edge.

Supplies:

  • Dreamerland Crafts: Just a Note to Say & Wondering How You are Doing stamp & die sets
  • Tonic Studios: Ornate Frame dies
  • Recollections 110# ivory cardstock
  • Tsukineko Memento Rich Cocoa & Tuxedo Black dye ink
  • Copic Markers: B21, 24; BG13, 45, 72; BV04; C1, 3; E00, 11, 23, 31, 33, 37, 51, 55, G02, 25; R22, 24, 29, 89; RV17, 19; V04, 06, 12, 15, 17; Y17, 28, 32; YG63, YR04, 07, 31
  • Pebbles, Inc. Pearlescent Chalks Jewel Tones
  • Shuttle Art Gel Pens
  • Ranger Inkssentials Glossy Accents (window panes)
  • Tonic Studios Nuvo Crystal Drops – Copper Penny (window latches)
  • Simply Defined Stay-Put glue
  • Misc. Foam Dots

  1. Yep, that’s exactly where my hairball of a kitten would be – trying to get into my lap no matter what I may be doing! lol Love the card and love the gorgeous pendant.

    • PS I’ve been searching to find out how to follow your blog but don’t see any tool for becoming a follower. 😦 Since I don’t have any of those other social media accounts, following your blog is what I want to do but how do I do that?

      • If you’re on a regular computer, go to the home page and it’s in the right-hand column, just below the 9 tiny pictures of popular posts and projects. If you’re on a mobile phone you have to scroll wayyy down until you see those 9 tiny pictures of popular posts and projects (or just scroll to the end and back up a bit) and the subscribe button is just below them.

  2. Charming!! I love how you gave the little girl some dimension with the pop dots. It looks to me like the kitty is being curious like cats will be and just wants to see what the little girl is up to. If it was my cat, she would then try to crawl on top of the paper I was writing on! Thanks for joining the Lost Coast Design Challenge!

  3. Lovely homely scene you’ve created here, D.Ann! I love that you folded the girl to let her sit on the window sill – very clever! Is that a feather quill she is using for writing? No wonder the kitty is so interested – she’s better watch that he doesn’t eat it or he’ll be hocking up a hairball … and more! Thanks again for the chance to win your fab prize – you are so generous! I’m following all! xx

  4. You bet your hairball I love this adorable card!! Clever you for giving added dimension by folding the little girl’s legs like that. You think of everything!

  5. More cowbell……less hairball!!! You’ll have to look up the cowbell reference if you are unfamiliar with it. And I mean it in the best possible way. You already add the prescribed extra amount of cowbell to all your cards and projects, D.Ann. No more cowbell needed!! Love how you added dimension to the gal. Wonderful.
Thanks so much for being a part of the 2018 Cat Lovers Hop!!!

  7. Your scene is sooo adorbale and I love your colouring and design! Really love that die-cut too!
Perky and Patience used to get hairballs all of the time! I think it is because they never stopped grooming themselves! Especially, Patience. He used to annoy Perky with his constant grooming. LOL! Boo never really groomed herself, she left that up to us so she never did have a hairball that I can remember!
