Well, we’ve down to the final session of this year’s Camp Create classes from My Favorite Things.
If you missed my posts from the first week of camp, they start HERE. And my posts from the second week of camp start HERE. Back up half a dozen posts to start the final week of camp. It’s pretty cool to have 16 new cards and as many fabulous tips, tricks and ideas under one’s belt for free all from the comfort of home. Thank you MFT!
This final session was one of my favorites. I LOVE the beautiful card created in the demo. I don’t have any solid MFT flower stamps, so I pulled out the only solid stamps I have… hearts and heart shaped balloons, and turned them into a border of flowers.
I can’t wait to pull out my solid flower stamps and try this… LOVE the look! I was highly disappointed to find that my brand new Teresa Collins Posh White pigment ink from Color Box, which demo’d so well at CHA, didn’t dry white at all, just turned the paper darker with its wetness. Have you tried that ink or heard of anyone having problems with it? I must try it on black and see if there’s any difference. Since I was tired I just pulled out my Memories Unicorn pigment ink and it did fine for this technique.
Supplies:
- My Favorite Things Heart Balloons stamp set
- Papertrey Ink cardstock and dye inks: Hibiscus Burst & Raspberry Fizz
- Coredinations white cardstock
- Memories Unicorn pigment ink
- Tombow mono adhesive
- Misc. sequins and glue
I am participating in the following challenges – click on any one for more information:
- My Favorite Things Camp Create – Stunning Shadow Stamping
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Make for the Border
- CropStop Linky Party #19: Anything Goes (MFT stamps)
That earns me the final badge from this final session of Camp Create, so now I have all 15 badges plus the campfire badge. Looking forward to next year’s camp!
Thanks for stopping by and for all the kind comments you’ve been leaving!
Well, th-th-th-that’s all for now, folks! See you around the next time the whim takes me crafting!
