Just a Little Something Candy Box and Bookmark Party Favors

I’ve been away… pictures coming soon! Meanwhile, when I returned this week, I was asked to get together some party favors for a Bible class. They wanted to give the students chocolates and something handmade. I had recently seen Heather Nichols’ bookmark (HERE) on the Papertrey Ink blog (HERE)…

That made me think a bookmark would make a nice gift for the students. I recently got a lovely Tattered Lace Floral Panel that I thought would make a pretty bookmark and be simple to put together. I love how the flower center and some of the leaves pop up for a bit of 3-d texture. Unfortunately, it didn’t fit my Papertrey Ink bookmark dies, so I just cut a frame to fit around it and printed the class info on the back.

I used Papertrey Ink’s Vintage Favor It Box die and Just a Little Something stamps to make little boxes to hold the Ghirardelli chocolates. Yep, chocolate is certain to be Just a Little Something to Make You Smile, don’t you think?!!

The bookmarks fit right inside the box for a sweet presentation…

Here they are all ready to go…

I’m entering this project in Papertrey Ink’s Create Along With Us Release Week Challenge. If you’d like to join the fun, you can find the details HERE.

I’m also entering this in Simon Says Stamp’s Monday Challenge: Anything Goes, which you can find HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today! Come back soon to see some great flower and wildlife pictures from the trip!

  1. Chocolate and a gorgeous bookmark?? Sign me up! I am a lit nerd and a chocoholic, so this is pretty much a dream gift in my opinion. What a clever idea and those students are lucky ducks! I really love how elegant the bookmarks are and they pair so well with the happy sentiment on the boxes. I really like how you stuck to a monochromatic color scheme because it looks amazing. This is a great gift idea and so well-executed. I enjoyed your post so much and am really glad that you shared these with us for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
