Ombre stamping

Today’s whim was to follow Papertrey Ink’s Make it Monday Challenge #208 Ombre stamping.

What is ombre, you ask? Ombré means having colors or tones that shade into each other. It has become popular in paper arts and has, in general lost the accent on the e. There are even ombre stamp pads out now. It was interesting to see the Make it Monday video showing how to DIY ombre stamping if you have 3 ink pads in the same color range. Well, I happen to have only had two of each color. I kind of thought they’d mix a bit more in the middle than they did.

Just for fun, I stamped an envelope to match:
